Adult Literacy Program
Serving our community since 1987
Johnson County Adult Literacy Program is possible because of volunteers like you!
Whether you would like to tutor students in reading, writing, English as a second language, or math, volunteer at our Scrabble Tournament, or participate in community outreach events, we NEED your help!
Training is provided. You do not have to have a degree in education-- just a love for reading and the desire to teach others the same.
Let's get started. Call or text 660-429-5442 or email firstname.lastname@example.org or fill out the form below and we will contact you soon!
Are you ready to make a difference?
Tutor Training Workshops
Tutor Training Days are scheduled usually twice a year for ten hours each. Tutors will learn how to teach adults and will be introduced to the New Readers Press Adult Literacy Materials.
